This Supply Chain Logistics analysts’ primary role will be to manage the for-hire transportation piece of Boeing’s supply chain in support of the 787 program in Italy and liaise between Leonardo, Boeing and multiple domestic and global suppliers supporting production. These duties include, but are not limited to; the build and maintenance of strong relationships with Boeing program, suppliers and transportation service providers within this region. Implement, manage and maintain Boeing “in-country” transportation service infrastructure to include managing agreements with transportation service providers for the movement of production parts in collaboration with SSG Supplier Management, develop logistics/transportation studies (Italy and/or within the European Union), provide local and international logistics and routing instructions to Boeing, partners and suppliers and manage logistics provider root cause analysis and corrective actions. Assist with the tracking of critical inbound/outbound shipments; ensure compliant execution of all Boeing outbound domestic and international shipments via commercial and/or private carrier transportation service providers. Establish in-country transportation metrics (volumes/costs) for the program, ensure compliance to all regulatory and company requirements in both Italy and US through collaboration with Boeing Office of Internal Governance, Global Trade Controls offices including working with International Tax, Legal and other governance agencies. Manage and maintain oversight for transportation logistics requirements support. Collaborate with other supply chain and trade control functions and government agencies to identify opportunities for transportation cost savings/recoveries. Experience with a broad range of functional job assignment demonstrating a thorough understanding of logistics and transportation practices in Italy along with governmental customs and trade control agency requirements.
Must have advanced proficiency in communication, problem analysis and resolution skills, and capable of achieving objectives with minimal supervision. Able to participate in and or lead teams in a collaborative environment to achieve defined objectives.
