Job Description

As the Communication Specialist you will be responsible for creating, developing and executing the communication strategy required to support the successful implementation of SAP across the business in order to ensure that future users are ‘willing and able’ to support the new ERP system and associated processes. Key to success will be your ability to build effective relationships with the PSi² project team, stakeholders and vendors.

  

Duties:

• Partners with key stakeholders to develop communications plans, strategies and tactics that support Boeing business objectives; determines needs and priorities and translates them into appropriate actions. Applies research results and has an understanding of communication principles and internal/external audiences to planning processes.
• Develops and implements strategic plans for effective communication products and services that provide timely and credible information to employees to educate, inform, align and motivate them to support the company's business plans and objectives.
• Creates presentations, including managing graphic elements and incorporating multimedia and other features. May provide advice and counsel to management regarding speeches and presentations. Assists in developing strategy for placing Boeing executives in front of key audiences to deliver company messages.
• Facilitates divisional meetings and special events. Determines goals and objectives; structures process flows; identifies resources and responsibilities; develops and distributes communications; directs events; and reports performance against plan.
• Manages website strategy and content. May manage local sponsorships.
• Responsible for maintenance and integrity of Boeing graphic standards and styles.
• Makes presentations to internal and external audiences/stakeholders.
• Organizes volunteer opportunities and community service projects. Promotes the active participation of Boeing employees and retirees and their families in their communities through internal and external communications.
• Partners with key stakeholders to plan, coordinate and implement various planned and emergent special events for employees, external customers, and other audiences to meet a variety of business objectives. Assists with logistics. May oversee writing projects, including enforcing deadlines, establishing copy flow and production schedules.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant post-secondary education (Example: Creative Communications Diploma, Journalism/Public Relations Degree or other relevant education.).
• Must have a Canadian high school diploma or recognized equivalence.
• Must have 4 + years of experience working in Marketing and Communications.
• Should have experience in one or more of the following software programs or relevant: Desktop Publishing, Premier Pro, InDesign or Photoshop.
• Must have experience working with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Prefer experience with Intranet website maintenance and SharePoint
