Boeing is hiring for a position as a Materials & Processes (M&P) Engineer.  Successful candidates will be required to support the goals and objectives of the various Boeing commercial programs (737/747/767/777/787) and projects being conducted by Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT) region. BR&T is currently supporting Boeing serialized production and the integration of manufacturing technologies in the MENAT region. We are looking for someone who can lead and collaboratively work multiple types of issues (e.g. metals, finishes, processing, etc.) and act as the company representative at supplier, sub-tier supplier, and academic premises.
This exciting opportunity is with the Boeing Research and Technology (BR&T) / Global Technology team under Engineering Test and Technology. Opportunities to work with suppliers in the MENAT region who supply parts to all Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) programs. Engagement with these suppliers and the BCA Supplier Management organization are critical to success.
 
 
Accountabilities
  1. Support audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
  2. Ensure materials, processes and equipment readiness for qualification.
  3. Participate in root-cause and corrective action activities to ensure manufactured parts and processes meet engineering and regulatory requirements.
  4. Interface with internal stakeholders in procurement and quality organizations to ensure M&P support is integrated with airplane schedule and rate requirements.
  5. Participate in various Research & Development (R&D) projects to develop new and innovative materials and processes to improve production quality, safety, and reduce production costs and flows.  The projects may be related to composites, fastening and fabrication/assembly, or processing such as forging, chemical conversion/plating, etc.
 
This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in AlAin, United Arab Emirates. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll, and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable UAE law. THERE IS NO EXPATRIATE PACKAGE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITION. Employment is subject to the candidate's ability to satisfy all UAE labor and immigration formalities.
