A Day in the Life (Just a Few of the Things You Will Do):
- Perform software architecture trades that may result in creation of new distributed SW components and interactions that align with future system architectures.
- Support program engagements with partners and customers on software capability, development, and integration into larger systems and system architectures.
- Perform definition of software architecture and models needs and coordinate efforts with software engineering teams to meet design, development, test, verification & validation dates.
- Perform the development and maintenance of new tools and processes to support this work scope.
- Work both independently and as part of a dynamic team environment alongside world-class research scientists and engineers.
​​​​​Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a System Architect to join their team.
Work Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Telework Availability: No Telework Availability
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical degree.
- 2 years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time system
- 2 years’ experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification.
- 2 years’ experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Python, JavaScript.
- 2 years’ experience using team collaboration tools including Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.
- 2 years’ experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Gitlab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc).
- 2 years’ experience with Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate : Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification
Mid-Level : Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
