A Day in the Life (Just a Few of the Things You Will Do):

Perform software architecture trades that may result in creation of new distributed SW components and interactions that align with future system architectures.
Support program engagements with partners and customers on software capability, development, and integration into larger systems and system architectures.
Perform definition of software architecture and models needs and coordinate efforts with software engineering teams to meet design, development, test, verification & validation dates.
Perform the development and maintenance of new tools and processes to support this work scope.
Work both independently and as part of a dynamic team environment alongside world-class research scientists and engineers.

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a System Architect to join their team.

Work Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Telework Availability: No Telework Availability

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical degree.
2 years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time system
2 years’ experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification.
2 years’ experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Python, JavaScript.
2 years’ experience using team collaboration tools including Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.
2 years’ experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Gitlab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc).
2 years’ experience with Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate : Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification

Mid-Level : Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
