Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join it's team
COVID-19:
As a U.S. government contractor, Boeing will require all new hires and employees located in the United States to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 8, 2021. Cloud Platform Engineer duties will include:
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/ integration infrastructure on multiple networks.
- Build and maintain highly available systems using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement an auto-scaling system for our Kubernetes nodes.
- Build and maintain capacity plans to include cloud based and on-prem deployments.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related Technical Field. Four years of relevant experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s Degree.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 5+ years’ experience performing and providing technical support to hardware, software, and applications.
- Strong capability with Linux, Bash, SSH and open source computing
- Exerience configuring and administering Kubernetes
- Understanding of Rancher or equivalent technology
- Experience with cloud storage architecture (example: Rook Ceph, EFS, EBS)
- Cloud administration experience focusing on deploying and maintaining cloud based systems
- Experience with setup, maintenance, and improvements of CI/CD systems (GitLab preferred)
- Strong networking understanding
- Experience managing resources in Amazon Web Services (e.g. CloudFormation, EC2, S3, ELB, ASG, etc.)
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of Python experience (e.g. frameworks such as Flask)
- Cloud native security tooling (e.g. Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper, StackRox, etc.)
- Containerized application development (e.g., Docker)
- OIDC/SAML/OpenID auth systems for applications (e.g. Keycloak administration)
- Security patching of cloud native applications
- Certified Kubernetes Administration or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer
