Job Description

As an NC Programmer for the Fabrication Organization, you will provide programming expertise for multi-axis high speed machining of aluminum & titanium aircraft components, to support Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) programs.

The NC Programmer will be primarily responsible for the following tasks:


  • Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience.
  • The primary systems the programmer will use is CATIA V5 and Vericut for machine tool simulations.
  • Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies.
  • Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques, cutting tool selection, fixture and tooling concepts, and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
  • Establish technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
  • Works under general direction.

The successful candidates will have the following experience, skills and abilities:

Required qualifications:


  • 3 or more years of NC Programming experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of practical work experience related to: multi-axis high speed machining of aluminum & titanium aircraft components, Machine Control Data (MCD) and new machining process development.
  • At least 3 years of experience in multiple Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and/or Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) applications (e.g. Mastercam, CATIA V5, Unigraphics, etc.).
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.


Typical Education & Experience:

AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Desired qualifications:

  • 3 or more years VERICUT simulation software.
  • Ability to coordinate closely with factory machine operators and other support personnel.
  • Willing to have a flexible work schedule and ability to work overtime to meet critical production requirements.

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit. This position requires that you work out of Auburn, WA. You must currently reside in the Greater Seattle area (where relocating would not be required) or be willing to relocate at your own expense.
