Key Responsibilities:
- Develop data intensive code using Java EE 8 on Spring Boot Framework.
- The services are intended to be used by more than 75 mainstream Airline customers across the world.
- Work in an Agile Scrum team following the best practices on Software Craftsmanship such as Test-driven development and Pair Programming/Peer Reviews.
- Work in close cooperation - actively aligns the technical roadmap, APIs and Interaction Design, with teams based in Europe.
- Create and maintain necessary software design and architecture documentation.
- Keep track of and actively reduce technical debt.
- Mentors junior team members.
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with experts in Boeing organizations around the world.
- This position will support initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, mentoring, customer engagement etc…
- Research and recommend new technologies to improve the product development activities.
- Travel domestically and internationally, as required
- Participate in all around activities including hackathon, new POC, Technical advancements, fun@work etc

As an Associate Software Engineer, the selected individual will work in the BIETC BGS Digital Engineering team to develop, maintain and improve certain progressive Web Applications under Jeppesen Crew Web & Mobile Portfolio.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years of experience in Java Full Stack Development
- Experience in Java and associated frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot, WildFly, JPA, Maven etc.
- Experience in Rest API Development.
- Experience in UI Technologies & JavaScript Frameworks - AngularJS, Angular 6+
- Knowledge of integrating with Maven, GIT and Shell scripting.
- Excellent knowledge and experience on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using GoCD/Jenkins.
- Exposure to Ansible & Docker containers
- Experience in Airline Operations Domain is a plus.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
Typical Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with 2+ years of experience
