Job Description:
 
The Boeing India Engineering Private Limited is looking for a Software Engineer for a key role in a DevOps team in support of a growing business unit. The position will be a technical role within a team of DevOps Software Engineers with diverse backgrounds and skill levels. The successful Candidate should have a track record of demonstrated successes from previous work assignments.
 
  • Tools and Environment DevOps Engineer is responsible for enabling the Product Lines to accomplish their assigned statement of work. This role includes insuring the DevOps environment supports the Product Line needs by working with the Tools team and Boeing IT Business Partners to provide the required tools and computing resources
  • The DevOps Engineer also has the role to provide automation for the management/maintenance of the DevOps environment as well as utilization of the environment (e.g., data mining and presentation of information).
  • Perform development and testing to complete assigned tasks and turn over to DevOPS team in US.
  • Implement Liverpool Data Research Associates (LDRA) tool to assist with DO-178C certification.
  • Develop and maintain code and integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Maintain test procedures and test environment.
  • Document test results for certification evidence.
  • Document deployed processes and collect metrics.
  • Troubleshoots basic software issues.
  • Document and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Implements systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools for the design of system and new product development.  
  • Works with multiple product teams to provide technical guidance on proper process for alignment of both FAA and Military standards for certification.  
  • Coordinates with teams to resolve complex issues related to processes, methods, tools and standards.  
  • Maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.  
  • Provides input and review of process approaches, certification mechanisms and tools utilized to develop airborne certified hardware and software components. 
 
Desired Skills:
 
  • Experience developing and execution of a continuous integration and delivery capability
  • Experience with Atlassian development suite including JIRA, BitBucket, Bamboo and Confluence
  • Experience with software engineering languages and software development life-cycle
  • Knowledge of Agile practices (like continuous integration, continuous development etc and Agile methodology like SCRUM, Kanban)
 
Additional Information:
 
  • Provides guidance to other sites. Mentors more junior engineers in all aspects of software tools & environments. Acts as subject matter expert on development tools & environment. For all phases of the software life cycle: leads selection, tailoring and deployment of processes and tools; and utilizes/influences regulations and industry standards.
  • Works within the DOORS environment and the Atlassian Tool Suite (tools like JIRA, BitBucket, Bamboo and Confluence)

Qualifications
  • Engineering degree and 12+ years of related work experience, a Master's degree and 10+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
  • Knowledge of DO178C/DO330/DO200B.
