Job Description:
 

The Global Sourcing & Vendor Management (GS&VM) organizations is seeking a Manager to lead the GS&VM team in Bangalore, India. This position partners with IT&DA service delivery teams, Indirect Supply Chain, and IT Finance organizations to manage strategic sourcing efforts and vendor performance to ensure the business needs of IT are met with the optimal mix of work done internally and through Boeing IT’s supply chain. Efforts include stratifying our supply base to deliver more value from our suppliers in line with our IT portfolio Management framework. Other responsibilities of this organization is sourcing leadership to ensure process compliance and best return of high value, key programs and projects.

In addition, the IT Global Sourcing and Vendor Management organization is responsible to lead supplier engagement to meet Information Technology functional, operational and business requirements for products and services. Contributes to strategies for use of sourced IT products and services. Researches industry trends in sourcing. Leads analysis of requirements for IT products and services including analysis of business case for changes to requirements.

Develops supplier performance expectations and reviews trends in supplier performance. Works with suppliers to develop or mature their capabilities to handle the IT work statement. Is actively engaged in, or leads, supplier development for strategic suppliers. Coordinates integration of multiple, complex supplier products and services. Manages complex, enterprise-level stakeholder relationships through sourcing lifecycle and governance processes. Leads reviews to identify and mitigate sourcing-related risks. Develops processes for and audits supplier billing and reconciliation.

Manages and develops employee and management activities in the delivery and support of vendor related activities across Boeing IT. Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives that align with the needs of the business. Leverages IT knowledge and drives innovation to increase growth and productivity. Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

 

The primary responsibilities of this position include:


  • Partners with multiple organizations: Information Technology, Procurement, Finance, Vendor Management
  • Assist in performing, task order projects, invoicing and validation for vendors by ensuring Boeing terms and conditions are applied to all activities
  • Ensures alignment with Boeing processes and compliance requirements
  • Assist with activities to define, deploy, evaluate and support common computing standards, Information Technology processes, tools and process/performance metrics
  • Assist with evaluation of computing processes to identify and implement process improvements
  • Assist in consulting/coaching and training on improvement of software development and maintenance processes, use of common software processes and deployment
  • Assists with the definition, development, deployment and maintenance of products and services supporting common processes.
 
Required Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a global IT team highly desirable.
  • IAOP certification desirable.
  • Hands on experience, ideally with experience in supplier/vendor management or similar role.
  • Experience with in IT or related Technical field is desired.
