The CE team is seeking an Electrical Engineer Parts Materials and Processes Engineer (Associate, Mid-level and Senior) to join our team in Berkeley, Missouri. The roles and responsibilities described below spans the entire production cycle of the program.
Position Responsibilities:
- Applies engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical components in evaluation new components for assembly and subassembly design
- Creates and revises specifications for components, and supports subcontractor and suppliers to ensure electronic components are qualified for Boeing usage per the contract and the Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP)
- Supports Electrical Manufacturing Assembly in house and at supplier locations, both domestic and international
- Conducts failure analysis and RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) as part of anomaly investigations
- Recommends new and alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programs
- Represents Boeing at National Committees and represents St. Louis site/programs at Boeing enterprise Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) meetings
- Supports the creation and maintenance of component data for control of parts on development and production programs
- Obsolescence forecasts and monitors using techniques such as third-party monitoring software, supplier surveys, etc.
- Monitors Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) alerts and provides Obsolescence status report to the programs and government customers (Navy, Air Force, DoE, etc.)
- Reviews draft program Statements of Work and Contract Deliverables, recommends wording for Boeing tasks
- Reviews and assists in the implementation of DoD Parts Management program requirements, ensures the integrity and appropriate use of parts per application requirements
- Maintains and implements improvements in software tools used to support DMSMS activities
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 2+ years experience with Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 4+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Electrical Assembly
- Experience as a Component Engineer
- Experience with Department of Defense programs
- Experience with Military Standards
- Experience with Obsolescence Management
- Experience with Failure Analysis
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Associate Level: $77,350 - $104,650
Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $95,200 - $128,800
Summary pay range for Senior Level: $116,450 - $157,550

To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
