The Phantom Works Electronic Warfare team is seeking a motivated individual to support design and development of electronic hardware for electronic warfare applications and subsequent integration into hardware. This position is part of a team coordinating with hardware, software and firmware engineers tasked with developing advanced electronic warfare payloads, architectures, and algorithms.
Responsible for electrical design and schematic capture of new hardware development. This includes but is not limited to power estimation and regulation, high speed digital, mixed signal and analog circuit development. These tasks often involve circuit modeling and analysis. PCB layout and signal integrity and power integrity analysis are also part of the responsibility. Other tasks include generating required documentation and procurement and assembly coordination. Then back end tasks are hardware checkout and integration testing consisting of design modifications and testing as necessary. Some firmware experience is useful, and coordination with firmware and software engineering will be required. Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral will be required.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Applicants MUST include their Security Clearance Level, Investigation Type and Investigation Date clearly on their resume.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 3 years of HW development experience
- Experience with SPICE tools
- Experience with schematic capture and layout tools
- Familiarity with wide array of lab equipment’s including: spectrum analyzers, networking analyzers and oscilloscopes
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- BDS Engineering Candidates Desired
- Experience with signal integrity and EM tools
- Experience with Configuration Management and design documentation
Typical Education/ Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
