The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Electrical and Electronics Design Engineer (Level 5) to join a Phantom Works Electrical Integrated Product Team in Platform Systems located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity on a Proprietary Program for a Senior Electrical and Electronics Design Engineer who will be required to create requirements for and design and develop electrical system equipment and architecture. This position resides within the Phantom Works organization and falls within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business under Air Dominance. The position requires the ability to create and oversee detail design and integration among various disciplines within The Boeing Company along with execution of supplier design, development and qualification effort.
The selected person will be a strong leader who is passionate about technical execution, continuous improvement, and possesses strong communication skills.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads work with Customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex multi-tiered projects.
Leads analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met.
Works with others to develop program test strategies.
Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
Conducts program independent reviews and reports results to program leadership.
Provides critical support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
Leads research into technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
Makes recommendations for technology investments.
Recognized as a business unit-wide expert in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issues.
Serve as Technical Lead Engineer.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Export Control:
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
Experience in electronics and design
Experience in testing and troubleshooting aircraft Avionics systems, Automatic test Equipment, or missile systems
Experience working on air vehicle electrical systems such as power generation, power distribution, lighting, etc
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in leading analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
Experience in leading testing and validation of system designs to ensure they meet operational and functional requirements
High attention to detail, self-starter, results driven
Typical Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Lead Level 5: 143,650-194,350
