The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Integration Lead to work in Berkeley, MO. We’re seeking a highly talented, motivated, and creative software developer to lead and support the existing capabilities of an agile software program for the Virtual Warfare Center. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads development, integration, and testing efforts to integrate advanced pilot decision aid algorithms onto multiple aircraft
- Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
- Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
- Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics
- Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects
- Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
- Tracks and evaluates software team performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards
- Works under minimal direction
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
- 3-5 years’ experience with C++
- Experience with Cross Platform Development (Windows/Linux)
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion
- Experience working autonomously in closed areas with little to no supervision
- Experience working with distributed teams
- Agile SDLC Development
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience leading cross IPT teams
- Experience with embedded software
- Experience with integration lab and flight test
- Experience with various aircraft integration, including open mission systems architecture
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
