The Phantom Works (PW) Special Technology capability is currently looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join their team in Berkeley MO.
This position will focus on developing tools to design, analyze, and sustain low observable (LO) vehicles by modeling electromagnetic scattering of targets in the RF/IR spectrum. It encompasses the gamut of low observable design needs: geometry preparation, material modeling, signature analysis, antenna modeling, data reduction, and visualization. This position offers the ability to immediately impact our organization as the tools being developed are rapidly deployed for active, daily use.
Interface with users and developers to define and implement solutions to meet requirements
Develop, test, and document software
Deploy software meeting security and IT requirements
Maintain, update, and re-factor legacy software design tools
Resolve technical issues quickly to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. top secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualification (Required Skills / Experience):
2 or more years of experience in software development
1 or more years of experience with C/C++ and/or C#
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with graphical user interfaces (GUI), object-oriented programming (OOP), or scientific algorithms
Some background in engineering, math, or physics
Active U.S. Security Clearance
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
