The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Vehicle Management System (VMS) Software Engineering Mid-Level Manager (Level L) to join the Air Dominance VMS Software Team located in Berkeley, MO.  This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

This person will be responsible for Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) software for a classified program within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Air Dominance VMS portfolio.

This person will develop and execute strategies for developing and maintaining VMS solutions for these platforms.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Software Engineering

• Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

• Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

• Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers

• Position to lead a classified VMS software team

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  Ability to obtain a Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start)

• Program/Project Management experience

• Prior experience in Software Development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Prior experience in VMS Software Development

• Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) experience

Travel:

Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.

Summary pay range for Mid-Level Manager: $154,700.00 – $209,300.00
