Job Description

Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is seeking an enthusiastic agile Business Analyst to undertake a multi skilled role in Boeing’s Information Services business

You’ll be embedded in our Business Analysis capability, supporting a diverse customer base including Ministry of Defence, UK police forces, our Engineering and Aircraft support business as well as our own internal Information Technology stack


This role will suit someone with a background in Business Analysis and agile development with a can do attitude and enthusiasm to further develop their skills and experience

Key responsibilities:

  • Interpreting and clarifying complex requirements to contribute to effective and innovative solutions
  • Capture and document business requirements using a range of user stories, epics and enablers. Support to the dev team throughout realisation
  • Clarify and articulate wider project business benefits
  • Work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Apply sound thinking and data analysis to lay solid foundations for productive engagements
  • Participate in all agile meetings – sprint planning, standups, demos and retrospectives
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement. Apply continuous improvement thinking to team and wider organisation

Education & Experience:

  • Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent in a business, IT or engineering discipline or closely related field
  • Experience defining software requirements for complex products, either as a business analyst or equivalent role in Agile software delivery.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present them in simple terms to non-technical team members and clients.
  • Working with Agile practices and associated skills including user story writing.
  • Interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Developing and delivering supporting business processes.
  • Legal authorisation to work in the UK

Desirable Experience:

  • BCS Business Analysis qualifications or other equivalent institute
  • Experience of Archimate notation and Sparx Enterprise Architect
