Introduction:
We are looking for a Contingent Labour Specialist Individual to work as part of our team that oversees Contingent Worker activity for Boeing across all countries, excluding the United States.
Boeing’s usage of Contingent workers internationally has grown significantly in the past two years, now covering 35 countries. Our current Contingent Labour team takes full responsibility for the ‘Contract Labour’ category of Contingent Worker end-to-end, collaborating with colleagues in Talent Acquisition and Supply Chain across multiple locations. The team also onboard workers through other Contingent Worker categories, such as those working through Purchased Service and Partner agreements.
This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment across the different time zones and worker categories. Each Contingent Labor Specialist in the team takes ownership for a specific region and given constant fluctuations in volumes of activity a strong team working ethic is required in order to provide a quality service
Boeing currently adopts a variety of service delivery frameworks for Contingent Workers internationally, using both in-house and MSP models, with a longer-term strategy to work strategically with a Global MSP in line with market best-practice
The Role:
A significant part of this role will be day-to-day working with the Beeline Vendor Management System as we look to mature our contingent worker processes in line with our global Workday roll-out. Working with the Lead to provide guidance to multiple internal and external stakeholders on this system will be critical, as well as keeping up-to-date with all regional legislative and compliance regulations in the Contingent Worker marketplace.
The team work with Supply Chain and Managers to the creation of Purchase Orders for our Contract Labor suppliers, and experience of working with the BIBS (Boeing International Buying System) would be highly valuable. As Boeing Defence UK currently provide particular challenges due to the complexities of it supplier agreements, experience in this environment would be also be preferred.
As the Contingent Worker processes across the growing number of Subsidiary organisations coming into Boeing also mature, the successful applicant will work with the Lead to help to define and standardise our processes in each country, working with our MSP and sub-vendors to gather the requisite market intelligence and ensure that all relevant data is input into the Beeline system and tested before deployment.
Key responsibilities:
Working closely with the International Contingent Worker Lead to ensure an efficient and professional service to all stakeholders
Educate hiring managers, HR, Talent Acquisition and Supply Chain colleagues on Contingent Worker processes and procedures via the Beeline system, helping to produce relevant training documentation and providing ongoing support working with both in-house colleagues and MSP team members
Ensure that all Contingent Workers in designated region are onboarded in a compliant manner in line with Boeing internal standards, working on the Beeline system end-to--end and with multiple Boeing onboarding systems
Work with Supply Chain and Hiring Manager in region to where a Purchase Order through the BIBS system is required as part of the process
Prepare effective communications to Managers and Suppliers covering process guides, imminent system outages and new functionality updates, using the new Worklife Knowledge-based Article format
Attending regular review sessions with regional Supply Chain and colleagues to monitor MSP and PSL SLA performance,
Work with the team on the existing program of continuous improvement to streamline processes wherever possible, ensuring all process documentation is kept up-to-date
Work with Finance where required to ensure that MSP and PSL invoicing procedures are running smoothly and that invoices are correct and being paid in a timely manner
Help educate hiring managers and Talent Acquisition/HR colleagues on the classifications of Contingent Worker
Support ad hoc Contingent Worker process and compliance requests
Work Authorisation:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.
Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience coordinating contingent labour activity in a large multinational organisation
Previous experience working with Vendor Management Systems such as Beeline
U.S. based payroll.
