Small UAS OperatorCambridge, Massachusetts
The Flight Operations department performs test flight, corporate flight operations, aircraft maintenance and certification for Aurora’s manned, unmanned, and optionally piloted aircraft.
Our test pilots and flight test engineers plan, execute, and report on flight tests of advanced aircraft and aircraft systems, from testing aircraft payloads to experimental flight test of newly developed aircraft types.
Aurora is seeking highly qualified, motivated and enthusiastic candidates for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SUAS) development and operations. The candidate will participate as a member of an Integrated Product Team responsible for the integration, testing, operation, maintenance and support of SUAS. The SUAS Operator will work throughout the development life cycle from initial requirements through development, integration, testing, and maintenance. The SUAS Operator will lead the execution of SUAS flight operations, including aircraft registration and airworthiness, flight authorizations, and logistics.
A qualified candidate must be experienced in the fabrication, integration and flight operation of Small UAS, and well versed in current and upcoming technology trends. This position requires attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and disciplined follow-up. The ideal candidate must be analytical while using acquired experience to work pragmatically, capable of working within deadlines, demonstrate high standards, thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of SUAS technologies, regulations, fabrication techniques, and remote piloting skills are critical.
