Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Engineering Analyst (Level 4) for the Systems Service Integration and Management (SIAM) team located in Chantilly, Virginia. Candidate will support mission/program specific real time operations. Candidate will participate as a member of an integrated customer/contractor team that performs requirements, planning, reporting, managing status of Enterprise-level project/service maturity.

Representative tasks include the following:

  • Translate externally derived requirements and provide traceability throughout their lifecycle. 
  • Integrated allocated requirements into the approved engineering and operations requirements baseline. 
  • Ensure requirements are identified, traced, and tracked. 
  • Assist in establishing NISP program-level readiness procedures and milestone events. 
  • Review, analyze, and provide technical inputs to NISP readiness activities. 
  • Support readiness processes and procedures that map to the NISP baseline.
  • Develop project cost estimates and provide input to cost estimation as required.
  • Review RFC and SRs and generate project plans as required.
  •  Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

This position requires an active Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)/Special Programs Access or SCI and ability to achieve a CI Poly U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Typical Education & Experience:

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.


Preferred Skills:

3+ years of experience in system integration and analysis.


Required Skills:

  • Experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
