Job Description

Program Information:

The C2BMC National Team provides technical solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Program.


C2BMC is the integrating element for the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) and links various sensors and weapon systems. The system provides capabilities to integrate and synchronize missile defense systems and operations, providing a layered defense against multiple ranges of threats and in all phases of flight.


This position requires candidate acceptance by industry partner resource control board.

Position Responsibilities:


The Network Engineer- System Administrator will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing the physical and virtual servers in a Networks Deployment Lab.  Successful candidate will apply Network Engineering concepts, principles, and architecture to a complex environment. This position is the primary point of contact for the management of network infrastructure and development systems. 


Responsibilities include Active Directory integration, Bitbucket, File servers, Application servers, Web servers and DNS.  This position will also assist in the day-to-day operation of the Linux environment.

Typical Education/Experience

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• This position requires an active Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

• Possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).

• Working knowledge of networking protocols (such as TCP/IP), routing protocols, network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Prior C2BMC network experience are highly desired.


• Experience with multi-system, multi-platform, and Network Systems Administration. 

• Experience managing lab network infrastructure to include daily operation and security management.

• Microsoft Windows server experience with multi-user applications

• Redhat server experience with multi-user applications

• VMware server installation, configuration, management performance monitoring and tuning of virtual machines ESXi servers

• Experience creating VM deployment templates and automated deployments

• Experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers such as Wireshark.

• Experience with Authentication & encryption methods/capabilities (ACS, Active Directory, GEM-X), Virtualization technologies such a VMware vCenter and vSphere.

• Understanding of standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts

• Storage Area Network experience with high availability and performance for virtualization.
