PROGRAM INFORMATION:

The C2BMC National Team provides technical solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. C2BMC is the integrating element for the Ballistic Missile Defense System and links various sensors and weapon systems. The system provides capabilities to integrate and synchronize missile defense systems and operations, providing a layered defense against multiple ranges of threats and in all phases of flight.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

This Senior Systems Engineering Support Analyst (Level 4) staff position reports directly to the Sustainment Lead. The position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, implement, and manage sustaining engineering activities. The candidate will lead multiple activities to include reviewing projects for sustaining engineering impacts, track and prioritize O&S SMRs
  • Support logistics activities within the Sustainment group such as authoring sustainment plans, planning for deployments, and generating operating processes.
  • Coordinate closely across other functional areas on the National Team, as well as the government counterparts at the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
  • Working knowledge of DoD Command and Control, C4I, or weapon systems deployment.

Note: Candidates are subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

This position requires candidate acceptance by industry partner resource control board.

 

This position requires a current Secret Clearance.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Sustaining Engineering, Project Management, Team Leadership, system modification analysis and implementation , process identification and implementation, self-starter, demonstrated interpersonal communications skills, able to work with minimal supervision, ability to multi-task, experience working with diverse site locations..

BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Sustaining engineering experience determining needed modifications for complex networked COTS (Commercial off the shelf) computer systems. Working with deployed forces at remote locations and understanding international cultures is a plus.

Qualifications

Typical Education/Experience: Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires an active (or the ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

  • This position requires a current Secret Clearance.

  • Bachelor Degree (or higher) education.

  • Education or experience with systems engineering principles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with Military or DoD customers.
  • Experience in military systems engineering processes and logistics.
  • Missile defense experience.
  • Experience leading or managing mission systems engineering activities.
