Responsible for the achievement of the Campus business plan, managing overall operation of the Campus training activities and device functions, including the management of assigned staff and overall responsibility for all Campus staff.
Resource Management – Applies expertise in budget management principles and practices to ensure realistic budgets are set and attained for multiple projects across the organisation. Monitors organisational financial metrics to support budgetary planning and to determine appropriate corrective action. Develops, manages and leads LEAN/Continuous Improvement activities to ensure profitability and appropriate cost/productivity targets. Expected to commit to revenue, cash and earnings and lead campus to meet or exceed targets.
Quality Control – Ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards. Builds strategic partnerships with external agencies and organizations to advance Boeing's position on key issues. Reviews, approves and implements facility, equipment and service plans to maximize productivity and ensure safety, security, environmental and regulatory compliance.
People Management – Effectively uses internal employee relations, resourcing, reward and training policies, procedures and practices and the Company performance management process to ensure Campus staff has the knowledge and skills to meet the business needs and to drive high performance across the team. Keeps others informed by communicating business vision and strategies, program or project status, conducting and participating in leadership meetings, providing presentations and listening to employee concerns and suggestions. Builds organisational culture that values open and honest communication. Motivates and inspires Campus team by creating an environment of respect and inclusion. Communicates appropriate policies and directives to enhance employee awareness and clarify expectations. Liaises with virtual managers to ensure high performance from all staff. Leads any current apprentice program to build talent and continuity with critical skills retention.
Campus Management - Develops and implements a focused employee communication / engagement plan for all employees located on the Campus. Uses leadership skills to work cross-functionally with other managers to assist non-assigned employees with issues. Responsible for guiding/influencing continuous improvement activities across BU and functional organisations contained within the campus and support organisations. Assigns authority and responsibilities to leadership team to execute the plan. Reviews plans' execution, makes appropriate adjustments, and resolves issues. Champions organisational initiatives geared toward recognising employee achievements, increasing employee satisfaction and retaining a skilled and motivated workforce. Rewards leadership team for their efforts to recognise and motivate others. Hold membership and participate in legal entity board meetings where appropriate (Boeing country management meetings etc)
Customer Service – Accountable for effectively interfacing with customers and governing/industry bodies to meet expectations and requirements. Develops and implements large-scale, high impact integrated organisational plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved. Meeting customer training expectations related to quality and schedule commitments
Facilities Management / Coordination – Monitors and ensures quality of Campus facilities are maintained, including security, services and health and safety requirements are achieved for all employees assigned to the Campus. Whilst the IT infrastructure belongs to the EO&T group, the Campus Manager partners with the IT team to ensure a balance of reliability and maintenance of resources whilst being cost effective. Evaluates feasibility of plans and makes decisions to continue or discontinue programs, projects or processes as appropriate. Reviews, approves and implements facility, equipment and service plans to maximize productivity and ensure safety, security, environmental and regulatory compliance.
Industry Liaison - Keeps informed of latest industry developments, through effective networking and liaison with external industry and regulatory authorities. Establishes partnerships and relationships with internal/external customers, Quality, Supplier Management, Gov’t. Relations, International Regulatory Authorities and executive stakeholders. Hold membership and participate in legal entity board meetings. Maintains and promotes trusting partnership with regulatory authorities.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
A degree in Business Studies or equivalent desired
Experience in a senior management role
Aviation industry experience including a thorough appreciation of NAA standards and requirements essential.
