Job Description
Boeing Avionics Vertical is seeking a Capability Lead for Cyber Security Engineering to coordinate and develop cyber security strategies for the BAv organization. Both Defense and Commercial systems are included.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Leading Boeing Avionics cyber security activities
  • Partnering with Boeing Commercial, Defense, & IT
  • Coordinating with existing Cyber security capabilities
  • Developing security engineering requirements & processes
  • Coordinating with system safety engineering
  • Maturing the multisite and foreign work strategy and BDS strategy
  • Planning for growth and building up a system security team
  • Forming and/or maintaining customer contacts
  • Assessing customer requirements to derive strategies for potential system and technical requirements
  • Coordinating security needs with our SSG teams
  • Working information security with our IT teams
  • Identifying risks, issues, and opportunities for BAv success;
  • Developing documents and developing and delivering presentations.
  • Communicating and working closely with process and system owners.
This position works closely with other Boeing Avionics Chief Architects & Chief Engineers.

Qualifications
Typical Education and/or Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 20 or more years' experience, Master's with 18 or more years' experience or PhD with 15 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
    • This position will require a Top Secret Security Clearance once assigned to the program.
  • Experience in implementation of Cyber in Avionics equipment Development
  • Experience with deriving and implementing cyber security strategies
  • Experience in performing risk assessments and risk management.
  • Experience in analysis of requirements, architecture design and product design.
  • Experience with avionics and military platform operations.

Desired Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in analysis of Cyber requirements, Cyber architecture design, Cyber audit tools and Cyber compliance for operational/mission systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships, technical document preparation and verbal communication for presentation of technical IA issues and reports to senior government and military officials.
  • Experience with coordinating information security with IT organizations
  • DoD 8570.01M / DoDD 8140.01 certification at IASAE Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, CCNA-Security).
  • Working knowledge of defense security standards DoDI 8510.01, ICD-503, CNSSI-1253, and SP 800-53 controls to perform risk analysis and provide strategic direction for system architectures, operations and delivered products
  • Experience in analogous commercial regulations
