Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Specializes in Space /Avionic Electronics built to j-stnd or SCGPS specifications and Integrates DFX , producibility , manufacturability knowledge, information and requirements that define program phases as the designated capability interface.
  • Conceptualizes, designs and manages the program architecture for build.
  • Defines, develops and implements the manufacturing plan and represents the program as the primary manufacturing integrator throughout the acquire, define, produce and support phases of the product life cycle.
  • Develops advanced manufacturing and engineering technologies and advocates, teaches and deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods and application of lean processes and tools.
  • Interfaces with regulatory agencies, professional associations, suppliers and internal and external customers to implement program initiatives.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for
which the US Government requires US Citizenship.


Typical Education & Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.


Basic Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience): 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline.
  • 5 plus years of demonstrated experience in SMT process engineering.
  • Ability to assign cost analysis criteria to projects and determine potential cost savings on a project by project basis.
  • Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings and technical notes.
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and demonstrate the ability to determine critical parameters and develop process controls.
  • Demonstrated ability with technical writing.
  • Must have knowledge of use and operation of standard office software and be familiar with commonly used CAD, email, Internet, word processing databases and spreadsheets.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills; must be able to write and understand routine reports, follow oral and written instructions, and speak effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people.
  • Have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and materials. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
