Job Description
This position is for an entry level (Level 2) Integrated Planning and Scheduling Program Scheduler to support Space and Missile System Programs in El Segundo, CA. Space and Missile Systems is a Business Unit within Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS).

Primary job duties:
•    Responsible for developing proposal plans and schedules, develop the baseline execution schedules, maintain the in-work schedules and perform critical path analysis and what-if planning in conjunction with the program managers.
•    Participate all aspects of IP&S activities for the programs assigned to their team.
•    Execute the following roles to provide actionable, value added products to their customers.
o    Program Planning - developing initial planning products (e.g. IMP, WBS, Master Phasing Schedule).
o    Program Scheduling – development of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
o    Detailed Scheduling & Change Management - developing and maintaining lower level schedules.
o    Change Integration - manages the change integration teams.
•    Responsible for ensuring alignment of milestones to program rally points and execution strategy and integration of all schedules on the program with higher level program plans. This includes the integration of supplier/partner plans and schedules to ensure the whole team is operating to the same operating rhythm and priorities.
•    Help act as a change agent for non-scheduling focused personnel to understand importance of planning requirements and ensure adherence and execution to program plans.
•    Assist in driving program execution through assessment of risk (including opportunity identification and schedule margin planning), generating prospective analyses and providing robust/actionable performance reporting to support and drive program management understanding and action.
•    Coordinate and communicating with senior levels, internal and external program management and will need to have program integration experience as well as excellent tool and process discipline.
•    While not directly responsible for EVM compliance on the program, this position is responsible for Schedule compliance to all EVM criteria.

Qualifications
Typical Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and typically 3 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic Qualifications (required):
•    Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), and Program Management Best Practices.
•    Analytical and problem solving experience including: critical path analysis, float analysis, schedule impact analysis, recovery planning, root cause analysis, trend analysis, schedule quality metrics, and risk analysis.
•    This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience with Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Integrated Scheduling processes preferred.
•    Degrees in Project Management, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Systems Engineering, and Business Management are highly preferred.
•    Experience with Project Scheduling software tools such as MS Project, Open Plan Professional, Milestones Professional, or equivalent scheduling software tools preferred.
