Summary:

 

Intern will join an existing Software Test (SWT) team that verifies the functionality of the Jeppesen Operator web based system and/or the Jeppesen Personal Assistant iOS application.  Operator is an integrated, next-generation virtual flight department that consolidates all your operational support systems (crew scheduling/management and flight/trip planning) into one seamless solution to meet the unique needs of business aviation, charter and military VIP transport.

Responsibilities may include: running tests, reporting test results, reporting and investigating issues with the product, report and correcting issues with test scripts and working with the development team on the resolution of product issues.

Relocation is offered for this position

Essential Functions:

• Obtain access to needed test environments

• Follow test scripts

• Report results

• Investigate and document defects with the product

• Document defects with test scripts

• Verify defect resolution

Education/Experience:

• Interns must be actively enrolled in some form of accredited higher education. This includes programs provided by universities, vocational schools, community colleges, institutes of technology, or other organizations that awards academic degrees.

• Interns must complete at least one year within their institution of higher education and carry a 3.0 grade point average before being considered for a Jeppesen internship.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Requires critical thinking and creative problem solving based on knowledge of a variety of Computer Science concepts such as databases, graphics, user interfaces, operating systems, memory management, etc.

• Requires experience using Windows Operating Systems (Win 10)

• Requires experience using Apple Operating Systems (iOS 11 and Mac OS)

• Attention to detail

• Scripting knowledge for automation a plus (Javascript, python)

• Swift coding knowledge a plus.

• Ability to follow test scripts & provide feedback on state of test script and state of software/product under test

• Interest in software development process & willingness to learn and abide by software development processes and plans

• Good communications skills, written & verbal

• Self-starter
