Boeing Global Services is currently looking for Software Engineer Test (virtual) to join Flight Planning team in Englewood, CO or Virtually.
Our Flight Planning and Dispatch Software Development team provides elite solutions to meet the needs of airlines and militaries around the world and also offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you have the opportunity to learn from or lead others. As a software Test Engineer, you will be part of Flight Planning End User applications that generates flight plans for use by Dispatchers and Pilots. The position will place you in a role where you have the opportunity to make a strong impact in the delivery of our product offerings and guide the future of flight planning solutions. In this position you will test software that matters, ensuring only the highest quality software is released to enable safe and efficient operations of aircraft around the globe.
A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as this position will focus on working directly with customers, various cross-organizational teams, and software developers. This position will be responsible for ensuring each software release meets the exit quality expectations of our customers. Opportunities to support roadmap definition, customer engagements, test automation, and personal skill development are opportunities in this role.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide Aviation Subject Matter Expert input to development team
- Define Test cases based on System Requirements, Industry Regulations, Customer Requirements and your experience that ensure adequate coverage of complex Flight Planning scenarios
- Work with Development and Product teams to ensure User Stories are testable
- Performs software integration test and troubleshoot software problems.
- Tracks and evaluates software test team to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
- Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software testing processes, tools and metrics.
- Monitor and analyze test results, generate metrics and provide feedback to development team
- Replicate and troubleshoot Customer reported issues
- Develops software verification plan, test procedures and test environments, completing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
- Hands-on experience as a Software Automation developer or Software Test Engineer
- Experience using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery
- Involvement with products developed using Agile software development practices
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in Aviation industry and knowledge in Flight Planning will be a plus
- Part 121 Dispatch or Part 121 Pilot Experience
- Experience of Manual/Automation/API testing in Windows and Web applications
- Involved in Automation Test Planning and Review/Rework of test scripts in Selenium and UFT
- Experience with Tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence
- Demonstrates creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Typical Education & Experience:
Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years’ or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
Relocation:

Summary pay range: $97,750.00 – $132,250.00
