The Boeing Company is seeking a BCA Supply Chain Financial Analytics Analyst: Mid - Level to join our team. This is an opportunity to become a member of the Supply Chain Financial Analytics team where we work in a high performing collaborative team environment to utilize data analytics and traditional estimating techniques to identify and drive cost reduction opportunities across Boeing Commercial Airplane's (BCA) supply chain.  Beyond driving value capture, our team also actively engages across functions to develop new data sources and tools to enable expanded use of analytics driving efficiency and real-time data driven decision making. This role can be located in Everett, WA; Renton, WA; Auburn, WA; or Charleston, SC.

To fill this current opening, we are looking for a highly motivated, collaborative, self-starter with proven experience turning analysis into a compelling story.  Someone who has a proven record of earning their seat at the table with peers and leaders.  The ideal candidate will have experience applying natural language processing (NLP) to text data and using machine learning for predictive analytics that drive actionable insight for the customer.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's Degree or higher

• 3+ years of experience with database management, programming, statistical modeling and/or machine learning (SQL, R, Python, JMP, Tableau, etc.) 

• Experience working cross functionally with engineering, procurement, data science, etc.

• Experience in data science or analytics

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with database management, programming, statistical modeling and/or machine learning (SQL, R, Python, JMP, Tableau, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and a proven history of excelling in a collaborative environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think creatively and outside the box to solve unique and challenging problems
• Experience working cross functionally with engineering, procurement, data science, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree with further training (bachelor’s, master’s, certificate(s), etc.) in data science or analytics area of study
• Typically 4 or more years of relevant work experience

Preferred Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Experience working in a technical, engineering, operational or manufacturing environment
• Experience engaging with external suppliers or customers and/or negotiation support
