Boeing Commercial Airlines has an exciting opportunity for a Boring Fixture Mechanic to join our team supporting Hourly Manufacturing and Quality in Everett, WA.

You will be working in 777X Spar Assembly in the Extended Wing Box (EWB) area, cc 507. Responsibilities include, boring hinge line and latch line on EWB assembly that the 777X folding wingtip attaches to, installing hinge and latch line bushings and other assembly work associated with the EWB.

Position Responsibilities

Completely and independently set up, operate, adjust etc., assigned power feed drilling machines to drill, ream, bore, hone, spot face, countersink, counterbore, and finish machine to quality requirements and specifications anything the machines are, or may be, adapted to machine.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications(Required Skill/Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience using precision measuring tools.

  • 1+ years of experience as a machine operator.

  • 3+ years of experience using a computer such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office and/or other specialized computer applications.

  • Candidate must be able to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of wing or body structure experience

Typical Education & Experience

High school graduate or GED preferred.

This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.
