Global Field Operations - Industrial Engineering and Lean is looking for a Lean Practitioner (Senior or Consultant) at one of the following locations: Everett, Renton or Seattle, Washington.
The successful candidate must be able to assist operations areas throughout the supply chain in achieving their business goals by implementing production system standards, business process improvements, and best practices. This position involves collaborating, leading, and supporting the coordination and integration of multi-disciplined product teams for planning, complex problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management to assure technical, quality, cost, and schedule performance meet current and future program requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coaches, leads, and partners with supplier manufacturing representative, functional support, and management on systematic problem-solving activities
- Facilitates or coaches continuous improvement workshops such as Accelerated Improvement Workshops, Value Stream Mapping, 3P, Autonomous Maintenance Workshops, Distribution Kaizens, Table Top, Moonshine, Kamishibai, Point of Use, Leader Standard Work, and Tier Boards
- Leads, facilitates project-managing improvement workshops and systematic problem-solving efforts in focus areas
- Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles
- Develops and updates instructional materials
- Mentors future instructors and less experienced practitioners
- Works with internal or external customers
- Leads and facilitates complex process improvement efforts
- Identifies risks and opportunities for improvement
- Creates enhancements to existing improvement tools
- Supports the development and deployment of new tools
- Some domestic and international travel may be required
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
- 5+ years of experience teaching Lean+ tools and concepts
- 5+ years of experience leading a cross-functional team
- Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 8+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Lean or Six Sigma Certification
- Experience working directly with Suppliers
- Experience with coaching team members and leaders in an operations environment influencing others
- Experience with design/build prototype, Lean knowledge, process management skills and project leadership
- Experience with facilitating a group of people through a workshop to achieve desired objectives and outcomes
- Experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing
- Familiarity with Boeing Production System (BPS) and/or Toyota Production System (TPS) concepts
- Experience leading or facilitating process improvement activities such as 5S, VSM, AIW, 3P, AMW/TPM, M&I, RCA, Systematic Problem-Solving, Theory of Constraints
- Experience coaching team members and leaders in an operations environment
- Strong communication skills
Typical Education/Experience:
Senior (Level 4):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
Consultant (Level 5):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)
Relocation:

Summary pay range Senior: $107,100 - $144,900
Summary pay range Consultant: $135,150 - $182,850
