Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Operations Training and Compliance Team is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Analyst (Assembly Advisement Specialist) to join our team. This exciting opportunity will support on-going production support and improvement activity with the BCA airplane programs!  As one of the BCA Operations Training and Compliance Manufacturing Operations Analysts, your statement of work has a direct impact on driving a culture of first time safety, quality and productivity improvements. Key aspects of our organization support is to conduct Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) on production quality and productivity related issues and to train manufacturing, quality and materials management employees on foundational, work package specific and advanced skills.

Your role will be to:

  • Lead complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles, processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers.
  • Conduct assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria.
  • Analyze and interpret data.
  • Provide feedback on assessment results and identify opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk.
  • Lead development and implementation of process improvement solutions.
  • Work with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives.
  • Work at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans.
  • Work under minimal direction.

Qualifications

Typical Education:

  • High school graduate or GED preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and/or typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience with aircraft Structural Assembly or electrical installation and hook-up processes including performing Drilling, Riveting, Structural Assembly in production and/or hands-on electrical routing & clamping of wire bundle installations & hook-up of connectors is desired or an equivalent combination of education and experience as outlined above
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in aircraft Structural Assembly or electrical installation and routing sequence is critical.
  • Experience and proficiency reading and interpreting engineering process documents, drawings, and production illustrations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills
