Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Procurement Agent - Contracts Lead to join our Asia Structures Contracts team in Everett, Washington. We are seeking a driven Procurement Agent to work directly with Japanese primary-structure suppliers supporting the 787 and 777-9/-8F programs. This role will lead priority projects from initiation through execution, coordinate with executive internal stakeholders and external suppliers, negotiate and finalize multiple types of agreements, and develop strategies to advance program objectives. Expected travel is a minimum of one week per month.

The Contracts Procurement Agent plays a pivotal role in negotiating and managing contracts with our Asia Structures suppliers. As a Contracts Procurement Agent, your responsibilities will focus on contracting strategy, contracting knowledge, and negotiating. Your primary duties include maintaining relationships with external companies and internal collaborators, and negotiating various contract types, as well as contract extensions. In this role, you will be the primary contact with the supplier(s), and the internal focal for various projects.

Position Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for supplier-focused initiatives, from initiation and planning through execution and closeout.

  • Serve as primary liaison between internal executive stakeholders and Japanese primary-structure suppliers.

  • Develop, negotiate, and execute contractual agreements and terms & conditions across multiple agreement types.

  • Create and implement supplier engagement strategies that support program timelines and technical requirements.

  • Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and drive corrective actions to meet schedule, cost, and quality targets.

  • Provide regular program updates and present recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, strategy, legal, finance) to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years’ experience developing and executes company strategic business goals and objectives

  • 15+ years’ experience at managing contract terms from negotiation through preparing and executing negotiated documents

  • 15+ years' of demonstrated knowledge in developing solutions for unique challenges that may serve as precedent for future decisions

  • 15 + years’ experience with the ability to serve as the prime consultant and external spokesperson for the company on highly significant matters related to goals and objectives

  • Experience managing supply chain or supplier development projects within aerospace (particularly primary structures preferred).

  • Strong project management skills and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.

  • Proven experience negotiating supplier agreements and terms & conditions.

  • Experience working with or in Japan and with Japanese suppliers, including cultural and business practices awareness.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to present to executives and lead supplier negotiations.

  • Ability to travel at least one week per month to supplier sites in Japan.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with aerospace contracting, regulatory, and certification processes.

  • Japanese language skills or prior direct experience working in Japan-based supply chains.

Assignment Details:

  • Location: Candidate will be expected to travel; home-base location flexible depending on candidate and program needs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite in one of our U.S. Boeing locations.

Summary Pay Range: $148,750 - $200,950
