Systems are deployed to aircraft, ships, submarines and ground mobile vehicles for purposes of collecting and exploiting signals in the radio frequency environment.
Software integration engineers work in dynamic environment that requires depth of technical knowledge for how the software is developed, built and executes while maintaining a system level perspective for delivering end-to-end capabilities that meet customer requirements. Working hands-on with the software build, deployment and configuration is critical. All of these activities happens in the context of a single software baseline that is deployed across multiple hardware baselines across a range of platforms – situations where finding a single solution that is adaptable enough to solve the problem once is key. Network topology and configuration must also be understood. The ability to work in a dynamic environment while engaging with multiple software development teams to troubleshoot and solve problems is critical.
