We are now recruiting for the position of Senior Software Engineer located at our Fleet office to join an international team within Phantom Works. The Phantom Works mission is the application of modelling & simulation and operational analysis techniques to engage customers to understand their needs, and to use that customer understanding in the development of new products and systems. This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Successful applicants for the position will be experienced software developers with a depth of understanding and passion in areas such as; modelling and simulation, data analytics, machine learning, scientific computing, real-time computer graphics and/or games development.

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related
Experience in at least one of the desired technical disciplines
Experience in Modern C++ principles and practice (C++11/14 mandatory, 17 desirable)
Understanding of fundamental engineering mathematics and physics concepts and their application towards modelling & simulation of systems
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Experience of working within an agile development team employing continuous integration and deployment techniques
Ability to obtain a UK defence security clearance
At least one of:
Front-end web development, with demonstrated proficiency of current front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g. experience with VueJS , Angular, React, etc.)
Experience in full stack application development, including design and implementation of asynchronous Web APIs
Experience with architecting for and deploying applications to cloud platforms (e.g. experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.).
Experience/knowledge of defence systems, and/or defence modelling and simulation software, standards and technologies
