The Role: The Phantom Works - International (PW-I) division of Boeing Defence, Space & Security is seeking a Systems Engineer to work on exciting projects as part of the Advanced Concepts team. This opportunity will see you joining a company that employs the best talent to develop and deliver world class capabilities for some of the most advanced systems available.
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
As an experienced Systems Engineer with a background in autonomous systems and platform development, you have a track record of successfully progressing initial concepts through to defined systems in the aerospace, defence or other relevant industry.
You will have a tertiary qualifications in Engineering and an ability to rapidly progress feasibility and requirements definition studies. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to work as part of a close knit multi-disciplinary team will allow advanced concepts to transition into production ready prototypes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Translation of operational requirements into technical needs and derived requirements
- Development of design briefs, documentation and reporting
- Map capabilities to requirements through verification and validation
- Proven capability in the progression of concepts to defined system
- Strong knowledge and/or demonstrated experience in autonomous systems and platform development programs
- Tertiary degree qualifications and experience in a relevant technical discipline.
