Job Description

This is a Long Term Assignment to Lakenheath AB, United Kingdom for 3 years. Relocation benefits from the base work location (or current living location) to the international location will be provided. This will also include repatriation benefits back to the U.S.

The F-15C/E Mission Training Center (MTC) Program is seeking a training device technician.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

- Repair, modify and update the F-15 MTC simulators.  

- Install, configure, upgrade, modify and repair computer and network systems, visual image generation and display systems, Input/Output (I/O) systems and control loading hardware & software. 

- Document work assigned. 

- Perform general pre-operations, post-operations, and component handling of training devices.  

- Order, ship, and receive parts and components to support the maintenance of training devices. 

- Perform troubleshooting to isolate computational, mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. 

- Provide customer service to the end-users (aircrews, subject matter experts, and engineering).  

- Perform additional duties as assigned by manager or site/shift lead. 

Travel may be required to support the program.

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.


Typical Education and Experience:  AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.





- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance post-start

- Experience with Windows Operating Systems and Computing Networks

- Must be able to obtain work visa depending on requirements of the country

- Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country as applicable

- The employment will be contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country

- Since you may be placed on an international assignment, your offer is contingent upon your ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which you will be assigned. These clearances are also a contingency for any family members who may be relocating with you.


- A current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years


- Computer Security Certifications (A+, Network+, and/or Security+)


- Vocational training programs in computing systems, network system or aircraft simulator maintenance

- Experience with visual imagery and display systems

- Experience with Simple Network Management Protocol (SMNP); Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocol; knowledge of Windows 7/ Server 2008; Linux Operating Systems
