This new role is based within the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Design Office based in Frimley, Surrey; where we hold EASA and GCAA part 21 Design Organisation Approval (DOA). This centre has a highly skilled team of engineers, Program Managers and support staff offering EASA certified modifications to our customers worldwide.
Work to customer requirements to support Payloads Engineering definition for Interior Modification programs
Provide tasks, hours, flows; support commitment meetings
Experience working as an engineer on a multi-disciplined team with frequent interaction with suppliers and customer desired
Present engineering technical information, and support customer meetings
Integrate with suppliers and engineering teams to support statement of work, including schedules and budget
Coordinate at project level, provide project status to leadership, and manage work distribution to global partners
Provide oversight on engineering work, review and approve engineering to ensure that the engineering meets all Boeing standards
Has good understanding of CFR Part 25.Ensure that engineering meets all associated FAA regulations; develop certification plans when required, and address any AD related items, including AMOC, that are part of the statement of work
Provide engineering solutions that are related to interior modification as part of statement of work
Apply engineering principles to research technical deviations, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and provide design interim and final engineering solutions.
Review and approve service bulletins that are generated from released engineering
Define supplier data required for supplier-related interior modifications; review and approve data submittals in CSDT system
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Interior commodity experience required. Interior commodities are items such as seats, overhead stowbins, lavatories, galleys, seats, PSU, sidewalls, air grilles, etc.
IVT proficiency, ability to work towards DE Approver, DDE credentials are desirable.
Some domestic and/or international travel required
