This new Senior Cabin Systems Engineer role is based within our Aircraft Interior Design Centre in Frimley, Surrey; where we hold EASA and GCAA Part 21J Design Organisation Approval (DOA). This centre has a highly skilled team of engineers and we're expanding again in 2021.
Work to customer requirements to support Electrical/Avionics Engineering definition for Interior Modification programs
Fully understand the project statement of work including any certification related issues
Provide tasks, hours, and flows; support commitment meetings; engage affected groups if required
Work as an engineer on a multi-disciplined team with frequent interaction with suppliers and customer desired
Lead and execute medium to large projects; provide engineering support and guidance to global partners
Manage work distribution with global partners; review and approve work for quality and accuracy to ensure that it meets Boeing standards
Present engineering technical information, and support customer meetings
Coordinate at project level, provide project status to leadership, including assignments, schedules, and budget
Has in-depth understanding of CFR Part 25/EASA CS 25.Ensure that engineering meets all associated FAA regulations; develop certification plans when required, and address any AD related items, including AMOC, that are part of the statement of work
Support non-compliance investigation as part of Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) to provide mitigating action
Apply engineering principles to investigate technical deviations, customer/modification site inquiries, non-conformances, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and provide technical interim and final engineering solutions
Review and approve service bulletins for technical content that are generated from released engineering
Define supplier data required for supplier-related interior modifications; establish due dates, define required reviewers; review and approve data submittals in CSDT system
Some domestic and/or international travel required
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Cabin electrical, ISPS connectivity and IFE systems experience
Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry working with an EASA Part 21, Subpart J Design Organisation.
The candidate must have an in depth knowledge of the aircraft to ensure they are able to foresee any potential airworthy and practical problems during accomplishment.
Able to demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of EASA regulatory and applicable airworthiness requirements.
Knowledge and experience of aircraft interior reconfiguration programmes and primary and secondary aircraft structures
A high level of attention to detail and professional integrity
Ability to work on multiple programmes with varying level of requirements efficiently and effectively
Ability to prioritise workloads and show flexibility to changing situations / demands.
