Job Description
Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems. Executive Flight Operations is the corporate flight department of The Boeing Company based in Gary, Indiana. EFO operates four Challenger 650s and three Boeing Business Jets B-737s to fly the company’s executives around the world.
 
As a flight operations intern with Executive Flight Operations, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional setting, while contributing to the inner workings of a corporate flight department from scheduling and flight operations to maintenance. The ideal candidate will be assisting with projects in Flight Operations, Flight Standards, and Safety.
 
Responsibilities and challenges will extend to a wide array of safety and operations disciplines, including:
 
•           Scheduling & Dispatch
•           LOA/Ops Spec Management
•           Flight Standards & Compliance
•           Safety Management Systems
•           Fatigue Risk Management
•           Airport Risk Assessments
•           Environmental Health & Safety Site Plans
•           Statistical Analysis of Safety Data
 

We are looking for intern candidates who are pursuing a degree in aviation, aviation management, safety management or a similar field of study, have an interest in a career in corporate aviation and are eager to learn and contribute to our team.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited course of study with an anticipated graduation date on or after August 2018.
  • Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during the summer
  • These positions must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a degree in aviation, aviation management, safety management, or a similar field of study
  • Commercial pilots license (or in the process of obtaining)
  • Passion for the aerospace industry
  • Academic excellence, technical project experience, internships, leadership experience, and community involvement
