An EHS Specialist is required to support the continued and expanding statement of work for BGS activities in the Crawley and London area (including Gatwick airport, Flight Training Centre in Crawley, and Boeing Distribution Services in Burgess Hill)
This position complements the existing EHS team of six professionals in the UK and Ireland, and may also support other Boeing activities in the region.
We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to be based at our Gatwick Airport location, supporting Boeing’s locations in the Crawley/London area (including Gatwick airport, Flight Training Centre in Crawley, and Boeing Distribution Services in Burgess Hill).
This position complements the existing EHS team of six professionals in the UK and Ireland.
The purpose of the role will be to provide practical support to management and employees to enable Boeing to achieve a high standard of EHS performance.
Responsibilities will include day-to-day EHS support for risk assessment, EHS procedures, communications, EHS inspections, induction training, EHS observations, emergency procedures, accident investigation, and environmental compliance and sustainability. This role will work closely with the rest of the regional EHS team.
The candidate will have a qualification in environment, health and safety, preferably to degree/diploma level, and have experience in an (advanced) manufacturing environment, ideally holding a health and safety role within this environment.
The ideal candidate will also have experience of chemical processing.
Key skills will include influencing people, communication, problem solving, pragmatism and flexibility. General IT skills are also important.
