Summary:


Responsible for defining, executing and maintaining project level Software Quality Engineering process. Supports process improvement activities and development of Quality Management System.
  
Essential Duties:


• Identifies and implements changes to organizational, program and project level processes to improve productivity and reduce risk.
• Leads review and approval of software life cycle documents and program products to ensure incorporation of and compliance with appropriate requirements.
• Plans and leads large complex internal and external audits of software engineering processes and associated support functions to ensure compliance with governing requirements and best practices.
• Supports process improvement efforts at the program and project level. Explore and share best practices in emerging development frameworks and software quality tools.
• Identifies program/project level non-conformances and issues corrective action requests. Reviews and approves corrective and preventive action plans. Verifies effectiveness of corrective and preventive action plans.
• Identifies, collects and analyzes program level software quality metrics to improve products and processes and manage risk.
• Defines and maintains program level software quality engineering processes, resources and infrastructure to support business objectives and comply with applicable requirements.
 
Education/Experience:


Technical degree in a related field of study and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Knowledge and Skills:


• Applies extensive job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Has knowledge of other related disciplines. Recognized as a job expert within the department/organization.
• Provides technical solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity.
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
• Guides the successful completion of aspects of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.
• Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
• Passionate about process improvement and releasing best quality products.
