Job Description

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Electrical Engineer Digital Hardware Designer to join the Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) team. This Level 4 position is located in Germantown, MD.



Position Responsibilities

Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Design complex high-speed high performance digital circuits utilizing the latest-generation microprocessors, DSPs, EPLDs and FPGAs
  • Provide technical leadership in the development of high-speed digital designs
  • Participate in all aspects of board design, from concept to low level design to board release

Work Authorization:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.



Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Experience with high-speed digital design practices


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and Open VPX architectures
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering highly preferred


Typical Education / Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.




This position is based in Germantown, Maryland and does not offer relocation assistance. This is not a negotiable benefit. Applicants must reside in the area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
