Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) requires a Project planner and scheduler to support the Chinook Portfolio, based at Gosport with opportunity for remote working when not required on site. First arriving in the UK 40 years ago, BDUK maintains the UK’s Chinook fleet of 60 helicopters under the Through Life Customer Support (TLCS) contract, the Digital Automatic Flight Control System (DAFCS) upgrade programme and the Chinook Engine Support Arrangement (CESA). Working with the Programme and Project Managers, and across all functional teams, the successful candidate will cover the whole of the Chinook programme with support form the wider scheduling team and their counterpart in Philadelphia (US).
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Project Scheduler to join Boeing Defence UK in a period of extensive growth within vertical lift. We are looking for a candidate with some experience in scheduling tools including Open Plan or P6, and will provide ample opportunities for further training and development. Working with the planning & scheduling team to maintain integrated schedules to meet the programme requirements
Produce schedule metrics for the Programme and projects, and change activities across the lifecycle of a programme;
Identify, analyse and report performance variances to the scheduling lead and work with teams to develop performance recovery plans and incorporate recovery plans where appropriate.
Assists with program planning, scheduling, and baseline change management activities, including schedule performance measurement techniques with risk and opportunity analyses.
Aid in maintaining, analysing and producing metrics related to plans and schedules for projects, programmes, and change driven activities.
Participates in the review and analysis for completeness and accuracy of schedules and proposed changes to the baseline.
The ideal candidate will already be familiar with scheduling tools including Open Plan or P6, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint
Work Authorisation: This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom.
