An opportunity has arisen within the Boeing Defence UK Aircraft Support working in the Supply Chain (SC) as an Inventory Modelling Specialist. Within this role, your responsibilities will include; optimisation of inventory costs by forecasting needs, analysing spares movement patterns and consumption, performance reporting, and resolving inventory discrepancies. You will collaborate with demand planning, sales operations and logistics in the design and execution of product allocations and inventory levels.

 

Using industry leading demand forecasting software, this role is tasked with improving and refining forecast accuracy and demonstrably reducing inventory costs.

This role is ideally suited to a post-graduate candidate with experience of conducting product simulation or development of statistical forecast models as part of degree studies. The candidate needs to be a bright, enthusiastic, self-motivated with strong analytical skills that is ready to start a career within Boeing.

Qualifications

Skills:

1. Masters or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Advanced user of MS Excel.

3. SQL, VBA or ‘R’ coding, and/or experience of analytics software (examples such as, Tableau or SAS) is preferable.
