Essential Functions:                             



  • Administer the monthly billing and revenue recognition in the project accounting module.

  • Supports the development and deployment of new project accounting systems and tools.

  • Validates the revenue and costs of projects as part of the month-end close.

  • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on project variances.

  • Works closely with the project managers and FP&A team to validate and follow up projects, and generate reports.

  • Review standard and actual project revenue and costs for inaccuracies.

  • Prepare journal entries and review system generated reports for accuracy.

  • Analyze and review transactions and relationships. 

  • Sub-ledger accounting and reconciliations.

  • Analyzes and interprets Company policies and regulatory requirements to guide, direct and recommend overall project accounting policies and practices.

  • Identifies, creates, and implements process improvements, especially in relation to project accounting.

  • Maintains and documents effective internal controls and processes to ensure system integrity and compliance with Company guidelines with relation to project accounting.

  • Leads or participates in cross functional process improvement efforts.


Education/Experience:


Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting, and 3+ years of project/cost accounting experience, or anequivalent combination of education and experience is required. 


 


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:                                         



  • Knowledge of accounting principles/theories and concepts desirable (GAAP, FASB).

  • Strong communication and time management skills possessing ability to be a self-starter.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of accounting applications in a computerized environment.

  • Accounting systems experience with large ERP system(s), having the ability to understand processes as they impact the financial information and system relationships.

  • Ability to analyze accounting processes, conducts research, and implements solutions for process improvement.

  • Experience with project and cost accounting, in an ERP environment is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of Oracle and project accounting systems is an advantage.

  • Fluent in both Swedish and English.
