Job Description

Software Engineer, web frontend developer with backend knowledge

At Jeppesen we create amazing software that helps millions of passengers around the world to safely and efficiently reach their destination. Look up in the sky and you will see a quarter of a million crew members on thousands of aircraft flying schedules produced by our software. We are the best in the world at what we do and we are the preferred choice for the world’s premiere airlines such as Alaska, Swiss, Lufthansa, Delta Airlines, Qatar Airways, SAS, Turkish Airlines, British Airways, Virginia Atlantic, Qantas, Singapore Airlines and many more.

We strive to continuously improve and are on a journey to transform to an even more agile, even leaner and even more dynamic organization. You will work in a one-of-a-kind software development organization with fascinating solutions that make a real difference to people around the world, every second of the day. You will be surrounded by extremely talented colleagues, up for any challenge and who will not hesitate to challenge you. You will have the opportunity to learn and broaden your views by working with more than 200 engineers from more than 30 different nations, all under the same roof. We seek an active learner with excellent communication skills – someone who is proficient in both the “business-speak” and “tech-speak” and is fluent in English (our corporate language), spoken and written. Most importantly, you will be expected to make a difference.

Our software eco-system is based on an optimization engine (simply the best in the world) developed in-house, with a domain-specific programming language, a middle-layer defining the data model and an Eclipse/RCP based customizable GUI.

The person we are looking for will be part of a team in the web and mobile area of our company.

You will be working in close cooperation with our developers and customers, helping merge these worlds in an efficient manner. We expect you to be committed and self-sufficient, as well as helpful and collaborative. We would prefer an experienced web frontend developer profile with backend knowledge.  The person we are looking for is passionate about keeping up-to-date with current best practices and not afraid to drive and implement changes.
