The Product Security Functional Chief Engineer’s office (PSEFO) is looking for an experienced Senior Model Based Product Security Engineer (PSE) to join our Digital Engineering team. The position is primarily remote though has possible work location options of Hazelwood MO, Huntsville AL, Mesa AZ, Oklahoma City OK, Plano TX, Titusville FL, or Arlington VA. The PSEFO Digital Engineering team is responsible for leading researching, defining, designing, creating, and sustaining tools, processes, and capabilities for Product Security Engineers across the Boeing company to use in creating secure and resilient products and services.
In this role you will support our PSEFO Digital Engineering team create technologies using the latest in Model Based Engineering (MBE) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) paradigms. Working with the PSEFO Digital Engineering Lead and Scrum-Master you will help design, build, test, and deploy models, processes, templates etc. to PSEs and programs throughout the enterprise. The work you do will impact the safety, security, and resiliency of dozens of major Boeing programs, products, and services. Of particular note is the Boeing Model Based Security (MBSec) Solutions Kit (SK) capability. In this role you will work with the MBSec Development Lead and Technical Lead to implement new MBSec SK capabilities, ensure MBSec SK quality, and help programs deploy the MBSec SK.
This role will leverage critical experience in cybersecurity engineering, systems analysis, adversity and risk analysis, design mitigation, MBSE or related systems and software engineering, and test & evaluation. The objective of this effort is to deploy solutions and directives that increase the quality and level of security/resiliency/assurance of our products, while decreasing the complexity and cost to perform recurring activities.
You will be joining a team of advanced engineers working across Boeing, that are jointly developing best practices, techniques and tools, and a community to draw upon to deliver best value to our customers.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of new Digital Engineering features and capabilities for the Product Security Engineering function
Ensure and maintain the quality of the MBSec SK models, processes, and templates
Manage PSE Digital Engineering project access control, permissions management, project structure, and to help implement related Access Control Policies
Work with the MBSec Technical Lead, Development Lead, and Scrum-Master to define and execute “releases” of the MBSec SK and other PSE Digital Engineering capabilities per the PSE Digital Engineering technical roadmap
Work with the MBSec Development Lead and Scrum-Master to define new features to add and align within the PSE Digital Engineering technical roadmap
Work with the PSE Engineering Integration Lead to align MBSec SK, and other PSE Digital Engineering tools, with defined enterprise PSE Engineering Capabilities and engineering activities
Participate in peer reviews and technical reviews related to PSE Digital Engineering features and capabilities
Manage the deployment and implementation of MBSec across multiple programs for Product Security Engineering
Develop and define training materials, courses, and pathways for PSE Digital Engineering tools and capabilities
Train and teach PSEs from across the enterprise in the use of PSE Digital Engineering tools and capabilities
Participate as a contributor to the Enterprise PSE community for Model Based Solution Kits and Design Practices
Work in and utilize agile methodologies for planning and execution of tasks across the team
Define and craft the technical capabilities roadmap for PSE Digital Engineering
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience with Model Based Engineering tools and languages such as Enterprise Architecture, Cameo, MagicDraw, UML/SysML, 3DX, CATIA
5+ years of experience with software systems engineering, integration, and testing
Experience with analysis of requirements, architecture, design, and product design
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. security clearance
Bachelor of Science degree (7 years’ experience), Masters of Science degree (5 years’ experience), Doctoral degree, or Certificate from an accredited course of study in Systems Engineering with a focus on Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Experience in Product Security, Cybersecurity, or Systems Security Engineering
Demonstrated history of performance in systems or software engineering, and operating throughout the course of the engineering or operations lifecycle
Highly motivated and exhibit strong written and verbal communication, inter-personal, and problem-solving skills
Experience with Model Based Engineering languages and frameworks such as UAF, DoDAF, MODAF, AADL, UPDM etc.
Experience with formalized semantics and semantic modeling languages and frameworks such as RDF, OWL, SPARQL, and TTL.
Experience in defining, allocating, implementing, assessing, and validating cybersecurity related requirements over the entire engineering and product life-cycle
Experience in performing, documenting, and communicating the analysis of cyber vulnerabilities, threats, and risks
Understanding and experience in systems and/or software engineering, including:
Development of Architecture, Requirements, Concepts of Operations, and Use Cases
Development of Hardware and Software products
Integration and Unit Test
Verification and Validation
Testing, including Acceptance and Fielding Tests
Understanding and working knowledge of various standards, including: DFARS Clause 252.204-7012, CNSSI 1253, DOD 8570, NIST 800-160, NIST 800-53 (and 53A), NIST 800-30, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-55, NIST 800-137, NIST 800-39 etc.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $127,500 - $197,800
