Candidates will belong to a systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration, and test engineers. The selected applicant will be a member of a geographically dispersed, high-performing, collaborative team, and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills. This team operates in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to support all aspects of product development. The applicant will be expected to actively help the team to continuously improve and develop innovative and creative solutions to products and processes and to coach the team in systems engineering and integration best practices. The Systems Engineering team has multiple openings to perform roles across the development of our training solutions.
GTS&S is responsible for designing, developing, building, integrating, delivering and upgrading flight and maintenance training solutions for the warfighter. The simulators developed are not off the shelf video games but are high fidelity, tech heavy, fully immersive training machines that allow the warfighter to maintain their mission readiness in their pursuit to defend freedom around the world. GTS&S supports multiple aircraft and rotor-craft platforms, including the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter, the P-8 Poseidon anti-surface/submarine warfare aircraft, the F-15, F-18, and F-22 tactical aircraft, the MQ-25 Stingray aerial refueling drone, the T-7 jet trainer, KC-46 Tanker aircraft and the C-17 Globemaster responsible for decades of military and humanitarian efforts.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a geographically dispersed, cross-functional team to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering and support teams
Develop and document systems-level architecture and design using a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Approach and tools
Develop and support the execution of systems-level concept of operations, system and subsystem requirements, and system level verification.
Conduct system level design, analysis, architecture and requirements trade studies
Support program, customer and supplier requirement and design reviews
Prepare and publish contractually required Documentation, including specifications and verification reports
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in a STEM field
1+ years of experience in design, requirements derivation and/or system architecture development and processes
Experience working in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication Skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance
Experience with the flight or mission critical systems and their capabilities typically found in military aviation – including propulsion, navigation, sensor, and weapon suites.
Systems engineering experience preferred including the use of standard tools to include ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS, BORIS, Windchill, VersionOne, CAMEO and other common tools.
Experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other agile development experience
Experience working within the Systems Engineering “V’ Model
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Experience with Earned Value Management
Experience with military assault, attack, or lift rotorcraft such as the AH-64, AH-6i, CH-47, UH-1, and UH-60.
Experience with US Navy Maritime Patrol Aviation assets (P-8A, P-3, HS-60, etc)
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Travel:
Occasional travel (10%) may be required in support of the program and customer.
