Join our Global Real Estate and Facilities Engineering and Technology (E&T) team as an Experienced or Mid-Level Facilities Mechanical Engineer located in Heath, Ohio. You will be part of a high-performing engineering team, where you’ll develop new skills and have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the U.S. Your responsibilities will range from supervision of reactive equipment repairs to providing critical support for planning and construction projects, placing you at the forefront of improving site infrastructure. 

Your primary focus will be industrial building HVAC systems, steam, compressed air, plumbing and fire protection systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop analysis using reliability tools and methods to determine the cause of asset failures and capacity reduction

  • Support implementing improvements to enhance asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability

  • Create conceptual designs, final designs, and cost estimates for mechanical aspects of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems, and grounds

  • Ensure alignment of mechanical designs with customer requirements, building codes, and regulations, utilizing your knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials

  • Maintain the accuracy of drawing archives/libraries by reviewing contractor redlines

  • Identify errors and documents construction changes to comply with regulatory requirements, facility standards, and record retention requirements

  • Support or manage construction projects by providing input on vendor selection, reviewing contractor proposals, and liaising with governmental agencies

  • Prepare and present project information to ensure compliance with construction documents, jurisdictional requirements, and project objectives

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering

  • Experience with/supporting HVAC systems

  • 3+ years of experience reading engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprints/schematics)

  • 3+ years of experience using AutoCAD

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in equipment engineering

  • Experience with mechanical controls and building automation systems

  • Experience working in a facilities organization

  • Experience working with or managing contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers

  • Experience in HVAC design, HVAC piping, and plumbing

  • Experience with codes including NFPA13 (Fire Protection/Sprinklers), IBC codes (Plumbing, gas, etc.), NFPA25 

  • Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Level 2 Experienced Summary pay range: $78,000 – $105,000

Level 3 Mid-Level Summary pay range: $96,000 - $129,000
