The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Software Integration Developer to join the team in Herndon, VA
Boeing is searching for a self-motivated and independent Software Integration Developer to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, interfaces and designs for integrated software systems.
The individual will have autonomy to suggest and implement new processes and tools to create a more efficient solutions for the customer using innovative thinking.
In conjunction with software development, this role will have the opportunity be involved with a Cross Domain Solution integration and enabling end-to-end integrated classified systems.
The ideal candidate must be able to:
Proficient in Java
Must be able to integrate software components into a fully functional software system
Must be able to write unit test procedures and document test results to ensure software system requirements are met
Must have experience developing and maintaining documentation of architecture designs, requirements, algorithms and user interfaces for software systems.
Knowledge of general and software development and testing tools, capability and usage. Examples include compilers, linkers, debuggers, data analysis tools, graphical user interface builders, post processing tools, requirements management tools, and web authoring tools.
Excellent communication verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work closely with users and form a knowledgeable and trusting relationship with the customer
Performs basic project management functions including requirements gathering, agile sprint management and schedule management
Think outside the box and implement process improvements to enhance both the efficiencies of the development team and the end user
Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area
Demonstrates an interest in personal learning and development. Seeks feedback from multiple sources about how to improve and develop
Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
Develop and maintain software code and integrate software components into a fully functional software system through the development of software verification plans
Test procedures and test environments and executing the test procedures to ensure software system requirements are met.
Participate in multiple application development specialties, including graphical user interface development, mathematical and logical algorithm development, and database structure design.
Perform agile project management including working with the user/customer to gather requirements, document requirements and plan sprints for deployment
This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
5+ years’ experience dealing with software development projects
Desired (Preferred) Qualifications:
Experience with Linux or any Unix-based operating system
Experience with restful web services
Experience with PostgreSQL databases
Experience in developing web-applications and components utilizing Angular framework
Experience with the Eclipse IDE
Experience with Git configuration management systems
Experience with Atlassian development tools.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
